Founder
Ross F. Hoffman is the founder of Hoffman & Associates Financial & Estate Advisors, Inc., the legacy firm where the Hoffman name and client-first approach began. With more than 40 years of professional experience in financial, estate, and investment advising, Ross built his career around helping estate and business owners maximize the value of their assets during their lifetime and thoughtfully prepare for the transfer of wealth to future generations.
While Hoffman Griffith Wealth Planning now carries the firm forward under the leadership of Jason Griffith, Ross remains a respected part of the firm’s history and continued legacy. His experience, perspective, and long-standing client relationships helped shape the foundation from which Hoffman Griffith continues to serve families, business owners, and individuals with care, clarity, and purpose.
Over the course of his career, Ross earned many of the industry’s most respected professional designations, including Accredited Wealth Management Advisor, Accredited Investment Fiduciary, Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Consultant, and Chartered Life Underwriter. He earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA, attended the U.S. Army School of Finance, and worked closely with the Center for Fiduciary Studies based at the University of Pittsburgh.
As an advisor, educator, and speaker, Ross has lectured on family wealth counseling, evidence-based investing, exit planning, creative uses of life insurance, and charitable estate planning. He has presented to professional groups including the Ventura County Bar Association and the Santa Barbara CPA/Law Society, taught estate and gift tax planning, and was a former co-host of the weekly internet radio show “Conscious Investing.” He was also featured in Navigating the Fog of Investing, a documentary film about the investment industry.
Throughout his work, Ross became known for helping clients understand and manage their wealth not only financially, but intellectually and emotionally. His approach reflected a deep belief that wealth planning should bring clarity, confidence, and purpose to the families and business owners he served.
Ross has also been deeply involved in the community over the years, serving in leadership and advisory roles with organizations including the Ventura County United Way, Ventura County Community Foundation, Ventura County Medical Center, American Lung Association, Ventura County Planned Giving Council, Boy Scouts of America, Estate Planning Council, and Segue, a nonprofit dedicated to helping students stay in school and develop career paths. He was also a longtime member of Vistage, formerly TEC, an organization for CEOs, where he was recognized with the Widest Range of Knowledge award.
Outside of his professional and community commitments, Ross enjoys golf, daily workouts, and spending time with his family. He also authored Back and Better: 37 Rapid Recovery Exercises I Use When Injured or Bedridden.
